Review
If ever an example were needed as to why 12” remixes were almost never a good idea, then here it is. The majestic and powerful “Waterfront” is absolutely gutted and stripped of all its energy. I only gave it 1 because you can’t give a 0.

Buy the 7” single or better yet the album “Sparkle In The Rain” to hear “Waterfront” as it should be, but avoid this at all costs !

A: Empire Road
B: Blackman
Just logging this in my collection on Discogs and noticed that it listed an alternative version of “Empire Road” as Track B1 that is not printed on the record or sleeve. I of course then played my copy of the record and yes, there is indeed an extra track on the B-side, a slightly extended version of the A-side with more of a “dub” feeling (although I’m not a reggae expert) at B1 and the listed track “Blackman” at B2.
If this is common to all copies then this release needs to be amended or a completely new entry made if the 2 track version actually exists.
So, has anyone got a copy with just the 2 tracks as listed?

The Cramps

A1: Ultra Twist
B1: Confessions Of A Psycho Cat
B2: No Club Lone Wolf
Perhaps the label here should be the Dutch independent label Music On Vinyl rather than Sony. "Manufactured and distributed by Music On Vinyl " is on the label and the MOV12077 cat# also indicates it's definitely a product of that label. This was also made in the Netherlands and has European rights on the label so it is highly unlikely that this was released solely in the UK.

I can buy this in Australia like most Music On Vinyl releases but I can't be certain whether this release is like the Cramps' 2023 Flamejob which is still available here as "part of a limited edition of 2000 individually numbered copies on translucent blue coloured vinyl and includes an insert with lyrics (WORLDWIDE PRESSING QTY)".

This is a difficult record to place but I would tend to think that this would best fit the current site protocols for LPs and 45s on the Music On Vinyl label and be listed as from the Netherlands. Why we list the 12" Singles on the label as EU releases is a mystery to me but as a Dutch independent label all releases should be listed the same.

So Netherlands would be the best fit for country on this one and while we're at it we should bring the four 12" Singles listed as from the EU into line as well.

A1: A Whiter Shade Of Pale
A2: Lime Street Blues
A3: A Whiter Shade Of Pale (Full-Length Instrumental)
B1: A Whiter Shade Of Pale (50th Anniversary Stereo Mix)
B2: Lime Street Blues (50th Anniversary Stereo Mix)
B3: Alpha (29th March 1967 Session Recording)
B4: Salad Days (Are Here Again) (29th March 1967 Session Recording)
Side A has a “hidden” fourth track which is a rehearsal of an instrumental which sounds a bit like “Mustang Sally.”

In my humble opinion this was not a German release (no GEMA PRS) but an European one (BIEM + STEMRA). Only the pressing was in West Germany
