My Bloody Valentine - Ecstasy And Wine
Added some scans of a genuine original Lazy Records pressing. Warning: if you own a pirate copy you may get a bit upset on these notes which describe how to spot a pirate visually.
My scanner cannot capture the whole image so these are composites, however there are only a couple of tiny slithers of information missing on both images, and these are missing on the right side of the top-right corner, and on the left side of the bottom-left corner.
Now inspect the images carefully, you will see that on a pirate copy the image is duller and slightly more blurred, the image has also been zoomed on the pirate so a few millimetres of image are lost around the entire perimeter. The spine has the text in a different font and the positioning is different. The original is pressed by MPO and has hand-written matrix numbers (unfortunately easy for pirates to copy).
If you play a pirated copy and then play the genuine original record you will notice a great difference in sound quality.

Suzanne Lloyd - Harold Lloyd's Hollywood Nudes In 3D!
This is a selection from Harold Lloyd's collection, apparently he had a large one, ahem, quote "Harold shot close to three hundred thousand slides", so it seems like the women flocked to his place, guess it must have been his glasses, gives the impression of an intellectual eh?. The book has 154 pages, most of the pictures are the standard glamour shots of the time, and there are quite a few cheesecake ones, only some of the pictures are in 3D, and yes the book does include 3D glasses.
Suzanne Lloyd is Harold's granddaughter.

I am reluctant to list the headliners as The Misunderstood as it was just Glen Campbell backed by The Loons, who had already played. For the encore they were joined by members of Juicy Lucy, which meant that on stage there were 3 members of Juicy Lucy, all of The Loons and (I think) just Glen from The Misunderstood (but he was also a member of Juicy Lucy). Very strange.

Red-Headed Woman (1932)
Review
Jean Harlow plays Lil, the social climbing, marriage wrecking, man-limpet who never takes no for an answer and bullies her men to get what she wants, and she does want everything money can buy. Una Merkel plays Sally, her no-nonsense friend who always has something up her sleeve to deflate Lil's ego. The film zips along with comical cringeworthy situations, witty asides and knowing pointers which you might need a sharp eye to catch. The men are like putty in Lil's hands and when you think she finally gets her comeuppance she still manages to trump them all.

The Deep (1977)
After the goldmine that was Jaws, this Peter Benchley thriller must have ticked all the boxes in Hollywood, and it certainly enticed me and a bunch of friends to join the queue outside the cinema. Alas it had nothing to get too excited about, and I remember being very disappointed while watching it.
The story involves a bunch of people who do underwater diving and when investigating a wreck they discover a large stash of drugs in small glass vials, the wreck is also home to a large deadly fish of some sort. A criminal gang or salvage company get on their backs and I think they also get tangled up with some voodoo hokum and, well you can probably guess the rest, but I hardly recall it being as thrilling as Jaws (as per the hype), maybe I was just too young to appreciate how deep it was.

EDIT (with spoilers): Thinking about it, this is one of those films that has a stupid plot thread, in this case it is the drugs. The drugs haul brings a lot of danger to the couple and yet they go and recover it from the wreck and then stash it in some kind of tower hiding place. Why? are they planning on selling it? dunno, can't remember. I suppose without that we don't have much of a story. They could have just let the 'bad guys' have it, they could have told the authorities, but instead they bring themselves a lot of trouble and then they eventually just blow up the tower, huh?, where's the logic, where's the police?

Supposedly filmed around Brixham and Torbay. I visited a friend who lives down there and while on a pub crawl he pointed out various locations that were used for the shoot; though he did not recommend the film.

Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965)
Probably Russ' most consistently entertaining movie with hilariously bitchy OTT dialogue, dangerous women up to no good and dumb square-jawed himbos taking the punishment. A big influence on pop culture still to this day with quotes and images instantly recognisable on posters, t-shirts, mugs etc. The trademark rapid fire editing and great camera angles are coming into place and of course it has that wonderful theme tune.

Theatre Of Blood (1973)
Review
Hammy and deluded stage actor Edward Lionheart loses out on the top award he was so convinced he deserved, and so exacts a Shakespearean bloody revenge on the critics that denied him. Lionheart is quickly identified as the murderer but his acting skills and ingeniously-staged ploys enable him to both dupe his victims and evade capture, (despite having the plot laid out for all to see). Grand Guignol of the finest order.

Nightmares In A Damaged Brain (1981)
Review
This clunky, Halloween-inspired story concerns a released mental health patient who goes around killing people, or maybe he just imagines it, he also visits sordid peep shows and suffers fits, and then he wants to go to the nice suburb where he grew up and bother the family living in his old home. Well something like that. Regrettably the plot is a bit of a mess, there are jarring changes in pace and the tension gets built up then lost several times. Still there are sequences that will stay in the memory long after seeing the film.

Nightmares In A Damaged Brain (1981)
Condemned as a video nasty and banned, sort of, this controversial slasher film has had a difficult history and not for reasons you might think. "Mustn't corrupt the young", but I got to see it at my school's video club [yes really], and I don't think it affected me, ...much, ...well I suppose the axe in my bathroom is, erm, well enough of that.

Effects guru Tom Savini was apparently involved, just to give advice, but demanded that his name be removed from the credits once he saw the finished product (and that is one cut that will never be reinstated). It was rumoured that most objections to the film were because of the negative depiction of mental health, though I believe the cuts were for the usual type of things. Most notoriously, in the UK, the distributor ended up with a prison sentence when a previous version of the film slipped out instead of the BBFC-approved cut.
The film has recently been released in the UK by 88Films remastered, restored and uncut, though personally I think that they should have trimmed many scenes just to quicken the pace and lose some of the plot holes.

The Best Of Beavis And Butt-Head: Butt-O-Ween / Beavis and Butt-Head Do Christmas - Time-Life Video
The Time-Life collections were sold cheaply in the USA, supermarkets and the like. They were essentially just budget dvd editions of the popular video tapes, coming out when dvds were just beginning to get popular and video tapes were being phased out.
There were originally 5 Beavis & Butthead '2-fers' and a singular "Hard Cash" which has longer running episodes but less episodes in total. Some time later a double dvd "History of..." was released which was not properly authorised and got withdrawn very quickly making it a very desirable collectors piece.

The dvds are actually multi-region, I have 6 of them (alas not "History Of.."), and as far as I can ascertain the animated stories are uncut, unlike the approved Mike Judge collections, where dialog is often trimmed and whole scenes missing. However, as usual the episodes do not include music video segments with B&B's comments, if that bothers you.

The dvds were sold individually, the 6 originals make up a series, not a boxset.
