albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatSleepwalker [1984] - BFI | Includes a 22 page booklet.
The box does not indicate if there are region code restrictions for the Blu-ray and DVD, however the UK is within Region B (Blu-ray), Region 2 (DVD). The DVD is in PAL format.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayThe Terminator - 20th Century Fox | Region ABC Blu-ray. MGM & Fox have their logos on the box, I would presume that the actual disc is the same one found in many countries and that only the cover slip changes.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatLove On The Dole - BFI | Additional short films are:
Island People (1940), 11 mins
A Call For Arms! (1940), 8 mins
Our Film (1942), 14 mins
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatBad Day At Black Rock - Warner Bros. Home Entertainment | Outer card slipcase housing a regular Blu-ray case, and I think it includes art picture-cards.
The box does not indicate if there are region code restrictions for the Blu-ray and DVD, however the UK is within Region B (Blu-ray), Region 2 (DVD).
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayElvira: Mistress Of The Dark - Arrow | Also comes with a 36 page booklet and alt cover art.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatBurnt Offerings - Arrow | There is alternative cover art which I did not bother to scan, it wasn't much cop anyway.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayPotiche - Studiocanal | Bare bones package from champion cheapskates Studio Canal.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayThe Day The Earth Caught Fire - BFI | The bonus short films are:
Operation Hurricane (1952), 33min
The H-bomb (1956), 22min
The Hole In The Ground (1962), 30min
There is also a well known C.O.I. TV clip regarding motorbike collisions Think Bike with Edward Judd, "think once, think twice, think bike".
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatThe Decameron - BFI | Notes For An African Oresteria, I can only describe as being a collection of random home-movie footage from African travels accompanied by a rambling dialogue. Pasolini's comments are his 'notes' making suggestions for ideas, "this could be the village, this man could be so-and-so", etc.
It is very hard to imagine that the poverty and dereliction on show could ever be translated into the beautiful images seen in his films, which are more of a European idealised and fake vision of Africa.
BFI have repackaged this title one or more times, though I think the contents remain the same.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | DVDThieves' Highway - 20th Century Fox | Region 2 DVD. This issue was (I think) a repackage using different artwork.
I would presume that Fox used the actual disc throughout Europe and 'region 2', and that only the cover slip changed.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatMoulin Rouge [1952] - BFI | There are six short 'street life' films (most are 1min in length) of Paris around 1900-1925, some of the Exhibition, these are only of a passing interest, as is a short of Manchester printing workers walking past a camera, and a comedy sketch depicting an illegal bill poster. There are four early anti-war cartoons, or 'lightning sketches', and one from 1895 of the Kaiser. A 1974 animation 'Lautrec' inspired by the artist's sketchbooks rounds off the extras.
albert 11th Apr 2021 | | CinemaMoulin Rouge | ReviewAlthough the film is notionally a biography of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and associates, it is derived from a work of fiction by novelist Pierre La Mure, which means the true facts, dates, and events are mostly dispensed with in order make way for an entertaining but somewhat different story.

albert 11th Apr 2021 | | CinemaZombeavers (2014) | ReviewWas recommended this film, but my advice is don't bother. It's stupid, not very funny, rotten script written by half-wits, and the beavers are not convincing. Naturally I did not explore the special features on the Blu-ray, which include things about the beavers - as if that's something they feel proud of.
Scratch it off your CV guys.

albert 11th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayRamrod - Arrow | Includes a 40 page booklet.
albert 10th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatThe Ox-Bow Incident - Arrow | Check out the new artwork, a bunch of miserable faces and hand loops, its London Tube commuters ! Oh? which line is Ox-Bow on? ...well couldn't the artist (if that's the term) have come up with something better, for instance like how the original poster art did.
albert 10th Apr 2021 | | CinemaNightmare | Duplicate entry. It is the same film as Nightmares In A Damaged Brain.

albert 10th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayThis Is Spinal Tap - Optimum Releasing Ltd | Optimum / Studio Canal ? now the same company ?
albert 9th Apr 2021 | | Blu-raySaturday Night And Sunday Morning - BFI | BFI have repackaged this one or more times, but I think that the disc contents remain the same. There was a dual format edition when first released on Blu-ray.
albert 9th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayThe Red Shoes - ITV Studios Home Entertainment | Additional cat number on the disc VFB22329, probably for other markets outside the UK.
This is the restoration edition with the colours steady and looking gorgeous (instead of flying all over the place on previous DVD editions).
I cannot see a release date anywhere but it will be after Martin Scorsese's introduction at Cannes 2009, which is included in the special features.
albert 9th Apr 2021 | | Multi-FormatBeat The Devil - BFI | Includes a 20min Government PR film "Atomic Achievement" (1956), and an advert for tea "By The Fireside" (1945).
albert 9th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayGrimsby - Sony Pictures Home Entertainment | Region ABC Blu-ray. Because Sony is a multinational corporation I would presume that the actual disc is the same one found in many countries and that only the cover slip changes.
There are lots of exemptions and get-out clauses on the download code. Sony have a clause to cancel it after 2019.
albert 9th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayOrphée - BFI | Includes a 38 page booklet.

albert 9th Apr 2021 | | Blu-rayThe Mask - Warner Home Video | This has been repackaged at least a twice, usually with an outer card slip case. The same special features are on a number of editions, including DVDs.
Because the distributers are a multinational corporation I would guess that the disc is actually multi-region and is the same one supplied to many countries.
