Is the date here 2000, or 2007-2012 as shown on the image?

Ian Mackintosh - The Sandbaggers
It's been a few decades since I watched this series on American TV, but as I recall I rather enjoyed it.

Analog
?? I don't doubt that this issue is vol. 94, but for Roman numeral "CXLIV" I get 144; 94 in Roman numeral should be "XCIV".

Ian Simmons - The Fortean Times Book Of Life's Losers
I don't recall seeing the ad for this, not surprising though, after some 28 years. If I can find them, I'll go through my 1996 FT issues. I have a couple of other books in this series, which IIRC came as a bonus with the magazine.

Thanks, I had thought of that - both entries indicate paperback.

All Record Store Day releases are international and ....
This is not entirely true. RSD's lists do identify some titles as "Regional Focus".

If Fokeman wants to change the flag to International, I have no objection.

Elisabeth Sanxay Holding - Net Of Cobwebs
I found a copy of this some years ago at a Goodwill thrift bookshop, complete with dust jacket, though the laminate is peeling a bit. Not many of these early Bantam paperbacks had these DJs; my 1982 Hancer price guide identifies less than 10 of them.

The label and sticker images were scanned from my copy, which I purchased on 23 Apr 2022 in Nashville, TN, and is thus a USA release (it was among the few remaining items, and the only LP I considered worth the sticker price). It was also listed as a US release (4500 copies available) for 2022 by recordstoreday.com.

Considering that the disk was manufactured in Czech Republic I would expect that copies were also available for sale in Europe for RSD, but I don't know that for certain.

A bit late to the party, but I suspect that this comment refers to The Outer Limits (original series).

Captain W. E. Johns - Worrals Flies Again
I'd think that the 'real' authorship of, say, Mark Twain is fairly well known. That of, say, Carolyn Keene *, Saki, or Charity / Lee Blackstock (among many others), not as well known. Sometimes, it's a matter of how far the book uploader is willing to go to research the author, though I'd expect it's much easier to accept the book-in-hand at face value. Eventually, given time, patience and enough prodding, the better-known authors and their pen names will be assembled together.

* H'mmm, no BBcode link for pen names.

Captain W. E. Johns - Worrals Flies Again
Quote:
... I was told 10 years ago we use real name and then indicate pen name in the appropriate field - with no exceptions.
The guide to adding books (also) states, Do please add books using a single canonical version of an author's name, even if there is a variation of the name on the book cover. The name could be that which the author is best known, or how the author is referred to on Wikipedia, eg D. H. Lawrence, William Shakespeare, Margaret Atwood. [my emphasis]

The problem I see with using the "real name" (as here) is that it is not always obvious, and it's far easier to use the pen name, since that is ordinarily on the cover or title page. The copyright holder sometimes, but not always, is the author's real name.

The Larkins (1958 - 1964)
I found a number of episodes from seasons 1-3 online (as mp4 files) ... rather mild humor from the few I've watched (my digital TV tuner accepts USB drive input). I may yet burn to DVD.

The label for this Specialty test pressing has been changed from Epic to Elektra. Full cat. no. should be "ED 5331" (split on the label forms between 'Acct.' and 'Rec. No.').

Had this originally been planned as two single disk albums? I note the disparity between the two disk numbers, CS 9809 and CS 9836, and the two sets of matrix numbers.

My copy is an ex-library copy, the dust jacket of which apparently had been discarded except for a clipping of the plot synopsis (presumably from one of the flaps) which had been pasted on the first page.

That was my take also ... I have moved the images of several different (mostly undated) printings of the Signet Bored Of The Rings to separate entries once I found enough info. to distinguish them.
