 @annaloog. Interesting. I was told different by a Lawrence fan. Maybe the request should be reversed then and make Gipsy the primary spelling and put Gypsy in the English title field?

 "Gipsy" is a variant spelling. This Wikipedia page shows a photo of (what is claims as) the first UK edition.

 Note this edition misspells the word "Gypsy" in the title. I wonder if the movie makes that same error?
