Peter Cook And Dudley Moore - Comic Relief And PG Tips Presents An Evening With Peter Cook And Dudley Moore And E.L. Wisty
Anyone hoping for Derek & Clive in their packet of tea would have been sorely disappointed!

Shelly Manne And His Friends - My Fair Lady
The LP version released shortly after was one of the first stereo LPs produced in the U.S.

Various Artists - Motown Gold Vol. 1
Marvellous!
You haven't lived until you've heard them sing "You Can't Hurry Love" in Italian, tho'.
You'll be muttering "tutti" for weeks afterward.

Gilbert Bécaud - A Little Love And Understanding
How did he end up on Decca?

Cassette Album
ABBA - ABBA Live
Not sure about it being released on CD, but 1986 wouldn't have been too early for it.
If memory serves, "The Visitors" was the very first pop CD released.

The Beatles - Revolver
[Quote: YankeeDisc] " an inlay card with a random tea stain gets it own separate submission - I kid you not, similar faux pas have happened."

Only if it's Fortnum & Mason tea. In that case, the possibility of The Prince Of Wales being the previous owner could be hinted at by the seller.

Pretenders - Message Of Love / Porcelain
My cassette deck found this one irresistibly delicious on only the second play. Probably the reason this is the only WEA cassette single I ever bought!

Cassette Album
The Beatles - With The Beatles
On the CD it lists the writers as Dobbin-Garrett-Garman-Brianbert giving no mention of Brian Holland at all. I''m going to see if wikipedia can shed light on this. Watch this space!

EDIT: And here it is ladies and gentlephones!

Reds United - There's Only One United (7" Mix) / Glory, Glory (12" Mix)
If anybody can spare a copy of this, my coffee table is a bit wonky and I've been looking for something to sort it out with.

The Beatles - 20 Hits
I wonder if Alan Williams' ownership of Lingasong was what provoked the Beatles to take legal action. Old grudges die hard, sometimes.

Boston Symphony Orchestra - Brahms Symphony No.4 In E Minor, Op.98
Release on vinyl/reel-to-reel was circa 1965, but this cassette was issued over a decade later.

The Beatles - Please Please Me
I seem to remember reading somewhere that there were 3" versions at 3 3/4 ips and 7" reels that ran at 7 1/2.

Various Artists - Stereo Demonstration Tape
The (gloriously multi-coloured!) vinyl release of this was one of the very first 'modern' stereo LP's in the US.

Ken Dodd - 20 Golden Greats
Fascinating fact! Genesis' "I Know What I Like In Your Wardrobe" was initially inspired by Ken's suit in the J card photo!
