This was the classic 3 men and a dog gig, except aside from the unofficial roadie [me] and the wives/ gf's there was only 2 other punters and the pub dog. One punter was a known violent psycopathic criminal and the other was a teenage student completely out his head and dancing by himself. The gig passed off without trouble.

There were 2 more gigs associated with this gig in the afternoon - The Clique & The Cherrylinas played a tiny pub in the Lanes area but I cant remember what it is called?

Oddest MH gig I have been too yet, not a great turnout, weak volume, but they played well.
Overtook the band's coach on the M1 south later that night (it was a sunday).

Motörhead @ Poole Arts Centre
This gig was the 4th date of what turned out to be an ironically named tour. Brian Robertson (previously Thin Lizzy/ Wild Horses) who had been drafted in as Eddie Clarke's replacement had announced that he refused to play any of MH's songs prior to the Another Perfect Day album. The result was a setlist that comprised almost the entire album plus a lot of blues standards & covers such as Hoochie Coochie Man. I remember this did not go down well with the audience.
On the night there were a lot of unhappy punters throwing newly bought albums & pints at the stage. For many older fans this tour cemented the legend of the "classic" line up (Lemmy, Eddie & Phil). Personally I quite enjoyed it!
I think it was 7 years before they returned to the area again.

Magic, Lemmy was in Hawkwind and singer of their biggest hit. The related family tree by Pete Frame is here on memorabilia world.
You can already create a tree of sorts by writing a biography of an act and then linking to another related artist.

"They sound like all of the above, curiously. Certainly predate Punk (I should imagine they influenced a lot of that from what I can hear in it.) But I Hear Motorhead, Hawkwind, Psychedelic, Free, and all sorts in there."

Not sure if you know Magic M, but Larry Wallis went from this band to the first incarnation of Motorhead taking the song "City Kids" with him. They recorded an album, see (Motorhead/ On Parole/ United Artists) that album is definately similar to this one.

I was chuffed to get the opportunity to see the "classic" line up as I had missed them in 84 on their "End of the Road" Tour. I was also worried that they might not live up to expectations but fortunately they were very excellent and a million times better than the current live line up!

Collaro - 45 Rpm Record Adapter
Hi TopPopper,
the adapters are a little bigger on the main diameter than a record centre and the spokes overlap the hole in the record, they are meant to slide in with 1 spoke above & 1 below not unlike earlier HMV jigsaw type adapters. They are frankly a fiddly bastard to work with so I am not surprised they disappeared without trace.
They are also made of metal covered in material, so I assume they were relatively expensive at the time.
