Similar cross-referencing to mono issues are outlined in the stereo list which directly follows the MGM "C" Original series section. According to EMI, every Connie Francis album was made available in white label promotion form in both mono and stereo. confranfan SUBS 13th Jun 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumConnie Francis - Canta Os Sucessos Dos Milhões | Masterpiece-Musicdisc releases
MGM label
Masterpiece-Musicdisc took over manufacture and distribution rights for MGM in late 1959/early 1960, remaining licensees for the label until Summer 1963. The bulk of the Masterpiece catalog appeared on a Black/Silver label, prior to which three other designs are known to have been used, and at least one compilation confirmed as being available on all three. Because of the massive amount of possible releases in this vain, it is impossible to claim that all of the assembled Masterpiece Musicdisc catalog items have been collected and/or accounted for.

Polydor label - Quality Sound Series
The above 2-LP set was issued in a "Quality Sound Series" range of releases. Record labels state "MADE IN HOLLAND" as previously mentioned, and liner also credits printing to that country. Labels bear the Belgium SABAM copyright society details, itself a pointer to the true nationality of the product. It is possible that genuine Dutch catalog entries may also exist, in which case the product would be identified by use of the STEMRA copyright logo.
B4: VALENTINO [dual track version]

C2: PARADISO [German version]

confranfan SUBS 12th Jun 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumConnie Francis - The Best Of Connie Francis | Reader's Digest (Australia) Pty Ltd release
Reader's Digest label
Reader's Digest (Australia) Pty Ltd began releasing sub-licensed Connie Francis material in boxed sets in the early Eighties. The above boxed set is a solo collection of six albums based on the original 4-LP boxed set THE BEST OF CONNIE FRANCIS issued by Reader's Digest in Britain.
This set was simultaneously released on cassette with 4 cassettes boxed as Reader's Digest RDCP4-411-1/4.
The original British set contained 4 albums of 16 tracks titled CONNIE'S GOLDEN HITS; THE COUNTRY SIDE OF CONNIE; CONNIE AT THE MOVES; and ROMANTICALLY CONNIE, each housed in different picture sleeves and with individual liner notes. The package above contained LPs housed in specially designed sleeves with cut-out centers and no poses by Connie Francis. A scan of this specially designed sleeve has been provided here. This set features an extra 10 selections, all of them made up of additional chart entries featured on CONNIE'S GOLDEN HITS and MORE GOLDEN HITS, one of the two extra LPs contained in the set. The other additional album is CONNIE SINGS THE GREAT HITS OF THE '50s & '60s which features the 4 tracks apiece on the British LPs THE COUNTRY SIDE OF CONNIE; CONNIE AT THE MOVIES; and ROMANTICALLY CONNIE not included within this Australian counterpart.

confranfan SUBS 11th Jun 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumConnie Francis - Connie's Greatest Hits | In 1967 pressing and distribution rights passed from EMI to Phonogram Recordings Pty Ltd. Most of the product issued between 1967 and 1970 did not carry the Phonogram company name but had labels and liners stating "Manufactured in Australia Under License". All Phonogram albums appear to have been issued on either the Black/Multi or Blue/Gold label.
|
confranfan SUBS 11th Jun 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumConnie Francis - The Incomparable Connie Francis | Both Australia and New Zealand used the Karussell label for the release of budget editions of Connie Francis US LP compilations. In New Zealand, THE INCOMPARABLE CONNIE FRANCIS retained the original MS 603 catalog number assigned to its stateside Metro label release, and features liner and labels advising of its KARUSSELL K 104 number in Australia. CONNIE FRANCIS & THE KIDS NEXT DOOR has the New Zealand number of KARUSSELL CP 219, with liner and labels similarly advising of the KARUSSELL K 111 Australian counterpart. A third New Zealand release, KARUSSELL CP 254, however, provides erroneous label references to it being issued on KARUSSELL K 104 in Australia - the number already assigned to THE INCOMPARABLE CONNIE FRANCIS. There is no evidence to suggest that MOVIE GREATS OF THE 60s has been issued on the Karussell label in Australia.
|
confranfan SUBS 11th Jun 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumConnie Francis - Connie Francis Sings "Never On Sunday" And Other Title Songs From Motion Pictures | The budget Metro label, which had been launched by MGM Records in the US in 1965, made its overseas debut when reactivated by Polydor in Germany in June 1972. From a chronological point of view, it would appear to have replaced the Karussell label on which Phonogram had marketed its earlier budget Connie Francis releases.
