GEMSMFAN 28th Jan 2018		CD Album Little River Band - Greatest Hits	the back of the CD insert photo shows the group performing on the American latenight music show, Burt Sugarman's, The Midnight Special. The large red neon letters behind performers was a well-known signature backdrop for the program usually when performing on one of the two side stages. Track 04, is not the original 1981 version with Glenn Shorrock's vocals, but a "Revisited" version with lead vocals by bandmate/musician, Wayne Nelson. Track 11 is a "brass enhanced" version with Glenn Shorrock's vocals

GEMSMFAN 21st Oct 2017		CD Album Carole King - Thoroughbred	all printed paper looks like it was done on a laser printer. the back inlay usually has a perforated fold to the spines. note, bar code with numbers only printed on back inlay. only "bars" on the disc label and inside the insert. Bar code is for the U.S. 1991 CD release and copyright has "Sony Music Entertainment (UK) Ltd." on back inlay... note often that same information would be printed on the insert back. No catalog number printed anywhere. Label is painted on disc, but off center, noticable at the clear CD ring.

GEMSMFAN 29th Aug 2017		12" Single Amy Grant - Baby Baby (Heart In Motion Mix)	B-side label defect... 2 labels were applied one over the other. Bottom label has no glue on lower portion with creases and top label folded over with glue covering text "Amy Grant" and credits. I'm surprised that A&M quality control didn't catch this.
GEMSMFAN 25th Aug 2017		CD Album Foreigner - Records	release year definitely isn't 1982, infact this is probably mid-90's as it has a colored Atlantic label.. earlier WEA Mfg Inc. discs had reflective with red/black outer rim, red Atlantic logo at left. This is a reissue of 7 80999-2 which I submitted (Target), but there is one with what I described above.

GEMSMFAN 12th Aug 2017		CD Single The Who - Vintage Gold	Format is: 3" CD, not CD3, which is for a 3rd CD single in a series release the U.S. released no CD3's OR CD2's. I think that was done in the UK mainly.

GEMSMFAN 16th Jul 2017		CD Single Dire Straits - Money For Nothing	Comments were last posted a few years ago. CD-Video can be played on later model LD players. The best player were the combi's which could play almost everything... LD's / DVD's / CD's / VCD's AND CDV's. They couldn't play the short-lived (CD-G)raphics format, which was a special CD player. The nice thing too was that LD's needed to be flipped over and the combi player had no flip feature. CD-Video was a PolyGram invention. Getting CD digital quality sound on a laserdisc. There were 8" and 12" music laserdiscs that had the "CD-Video" logo. I take "everything" back. I only have 1 CDV. In the U.S. very few of these were released. The ones that existed were pressed in the UK with NTSC standard.
