Discs bronze with age) but this is not that,it's a specific Gold Disc issue. (booklet and rear tray art matches scans shown exactly)

I bought my copy at a record fair a while ago, and, i honestly thought there was no OBI, but, pleasantly suprised on looking in the artwork to find both the OBI and lyric fold-out (happy:). Looking at the colour of the green on my copy though, it looks like it might be sun faded (on the front cover/OBI, the back of the booklet and the rear tray artwork matches the green on kab2112's scans) the correct green for the front is on kab2112's scans i think. (i've also put in a request to change the date to 21st Dec 1988, as kei masaru has commented, as that's what's on the back.) (This is the first Japanese release of Pet Sounds)

gregs45s SUBS 19th Aug 2024		CD Album Cannonball Adderley - Somethin' Else	Had an opportunity here to directly compare this SHM-CD to the European RVG edition, and, to my ears and on my system (Arcam cd/Mission Cyrus amp/Mission speakers), the whole soundstage is larger, the clarity of the instruments is the same, but the instuments seem to be wider/better placed in the recording, more "depth". Conclusion, an improvement, definitely, if only minor on an "average" set up, but still obviously apparent, would be more noticeable i expect on a more expensive system. (a nice alternate take of Autumn Leaves as a bonus track on this one also)

gregs45s SUBS 14th Aug 2024		CD Album Lou Reed - Transformer	OK, just to make things interesting;) I've added scans of the "Special Price" release pressed by PDO, these releases had an extra outer back/front (with the zig-zag design) over the original booklet shown here, so, the inner booklet matches exactly the one shown here in images 360707/731067/068/069. Unsure of date, i can't remember the date of these "Special Price" reissues offhand. (check that, the earliest date on Discogs for this "Special Price" zig-zag series is 1986, and the latest 1993. Not to be confused with this series "Compact Disc Special Price" (with the "curl" covers) which started in 1987 The last scan of the rear tray artwork is a minor variation on the one shown in image 731070, for some reason they have changed the French retail price code from "BM 720"(BMG) to "RC 720"(RCA). (now i have two variations of this release;)
gregs45s SUBS 12th Aug 2024		CD Album Cocteau Twins - Heaven Or Las Vegas	Unsure of date, the first remaster was in 2004 manufactured by Sonopress,so, somewhere in the early 2000's i think. Remasters are always a bit of a gamble, this one sounds amazing, although that could be just due to the fact that my original 1990 copy is buried in the collection somewhere, and it's really great just to hear it again on my system after what must be a 2 year gap at least;) If i unearth the original one day, i'll compare it.
