Check the credit on the cover for "These Things Will Keep Me Loving You" oops! It sounds great, I used to have an second copy which I did play but sold it LOL!

I had a scanner that was better and bigger at the time and a stitching program. Both those and my patience are gone LMAO!

Helen Willemse 19th Jun 2022		CD Album Diana Ross - Red Hot Rhythm And Blues	love the alternates on the US album, in those days you could never just buy one or the other. You had to buy the European and US albums to get all the tracks plus the alternated mixes. USA Dirty Looks is a bit longer and different from the EU album version. However, in the Dutch stores we hardly ever got the long boxes. It made them cooler than the EU versions... but the stores often destroyed them or "lost" them. Love to see the long box on this one in the pics... awesome photo's!

I wonder if I should submit it or just check it as owned LOL! Motown and family sure loved to drive us nuts with their cat. nrs. didn't they? Choices choices choises .. UPDATE: Oké, now I see cat. nr on label is same as submitted but the cover says 062... I will add as variant because my label is orange.

Helen Willemse 16th Jun 2022		CD Album Diana Ross - All The Great Hits	Overpriced loudness war victim. 62 euro's with the promise it would be great. Boy did I get the shock of my life. Trust me, stick to the first pressing or better yet: the LP! I was playing a normal CD before this one, it is so loud.. the first notes of the piano woke the cats up and gave me heart attack LMAO!! It's nice for the collection but the price definitely is not! Booklet is the same as the 2000: 96k / 24-bit it even has the same text in it. it's stuck to the cardboard so I did not want to risk damaging it.

Helen Willemse 15th Jun 2022		CD Album Diana Ross And The Supremes - The No 1's	PhilMH, I always wondered about the chopped heads... it was the first to be released in the Netherlands... bought it because they said the tracks were a bit different. On the EU version however... normal versions but at least they still got their heads. What idiot came up with chopping heads?? rolls eyes On some Dutch sites this album is called The No.1's expanded edition. I asked them if they knew the old version, no answer of course. This version on this page came later in NL, I bought it just have the heads :-p And then there is this so called "special edition" with the same tracklisting -_-

It's too bad that one can not add notes afterwards, once the album is saved. If someone thinks he/she has the right release date, make sure to check the two cat. nrs and barcode first ;-) PhilMH, correct whatever I missed or did wrong. Sandbrain is my nickname by friends LOL!

I am using a program called Music Collector for years, you can put in a whole lot of info into it. Had this listed as 1986 because of Discogs, until today... for some reason I only just noticed the different cat. nr. today... bought the CD somewhere in the 80's... Every time a DR CD was released I bought it, some I ditched and bought newer versions of because they sounded better. Back in the day some CD's sounded like they were recorded in a can LOL! A nightmare is the right word for those cat. nrs.. man, since I rediscovered this site I am digging into the CD's and LP's again I am seeing things that drive me crazy hahaha! On the bright side, it is a good distraction from life right now. Gives the brain something else to worry about. Do you remember when in about one year time Polygram left and Universal stepped in and the entire back catalogue was rereleased...again (we need a tired smiley here). I had just bought The Boss remaster and a few months later it was released AGAIN... this time with bonus tracks. For a moment I stopped buying reissues, too much of the same. Untill the expanded stuff came yaaay! Anyway, thanks for your explanation :-)
