Jasper 21st Nov 2016		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - Speedway	It should be noted that track B1 is sung by Nancy Sinatra and track A2 is a duet with Nancy Sinatra. This is the first official soundtrack recording that featured an artist other than Elvis on any of the tracks although it wasn't unusual for duets to be used in the actual movie Elvis' solo recordings were on the soundtrack album - notably child actress Donna Butterworth in Paradise Hawaiian Style - Datin' and Queenie Wahine's Papaya and Ann Margret's efforts in Viva Las Vegas had to wait many years before getting a release.
Jasper 20th Nov 2016		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - The Sun Sessions	Hi Lee - I will send a correction. The next Elvis album I entered (purchased December 1977) had the tan labels so I'm guessing that RCA changed to that label design sometime in 1977 or late 1976 - maybe PhilMH will know.

I will have to get around to entering my albums probably have 50 or so mainly AUS. issues. You and Memphis Martin are making me feel guilty.
Jasper 31st Oct 2016		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - Blue Hawaii	Hi Whassup good to see you adding some Aussie Elvis LPs have been thinking about doing the same for a while seeing there were only 6 listed before your recent entries. I'm sure that this would have been released before Christmas 1961 although I wouldn't pin it down to October which was the U.S release date also record type/format would be Mono LP as apposed to the stereo version with an SL prefix.
Jasper 29th Oct 2016		Cassette Album Shirley Bassey - A Tapestry Of Hits	Released on the budget priced Tempo label. The track listing has 'This is my life' twice at No7 and No15. Track No7 is in fact 'Send in the clowns'. This is a re-release of the 'I Am What I Am' album originally on the Towerbell label.

Jasper 17th Oct 2016		CD Single Highwaymen - The Devil's Right Hand	I don't know why this is sideways was correct orientation when added (correction requested). This has been a real pest to add. Silver writing on black label would not scan and was even hard to photograph for writing to be legible. Mod edit: fixed (hopefully)
Jasper 1st Oct 2016		Cassette Album Rolf Harris - All Together Now!	As a matter of interest the Axis label started in 1972 - all early releases had a black and white label. I am confident that this tape is from 1982 as listed.
Jasper 21st Sep 2016		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Rock-N-Roll Heaven	Hi Mark Taylor - welcome always good to have another Aussie voice (I presume). I don't know who compiled the album but it was hastily put together after John Lennon's death. As pointed out by Neil Forbes the eras and genres are pretty mixed but I guess when the common thread is singers who left us way too early it narrows the field quite a bit. Pity that the best they could come up with for John Lennon was Ain't She Sweet but obviously little choice with copyright limitation.
Jasper 13th Sep 2016		Cassette Album Rolf Harris - All Together Now!	Thanks TopPopper - I go by the database of Selected EMI LP series - 1953–1985 compiled by Michael De Looper. Generally the cassettes were released simultaneous with the vinyl release. Discogs also has the vinyl release as 1982. I purchased quite a few of these AXIS budget label releases new and kept a detailed record of dates purchased etc. and this cat# fits that time scale. Always open to correction if someone has better reference material.
Jasper 11th Sep 2016		Cassette Album Rolf Harris - All Together Now!	The date of this release is incorrect. It is a re-release of the original EMI (Columbia label) recording on the budget priced AXIS label from 1982.
Jasper 6th Sep 2016		Vinyl Album Pink Floyd - Relics	Going by the Michael de Looper database axis cat #1099 Al Martino's Mary In The Morning is listed as April 1982. There is no mention of an earlier Axis release of Relics and cat # 1100 should be from 1982.

Jasper 6th Sep 2016		Vinyl Album Pink Floyd - Relics	I believe that this is the original release on the budget Axis label - released 1982. Axis started in 1972 so 1971 will not be correct. The original 1971 release was not on the Axis label. Maybe PhilMH will be able to provide more detail.

He was a client of Valley Music, who were affiliated to Status Quo’s management in their early days. Although I must admit that I had never heard of him.

Jasper 26th Jul 2016		Cassette Album Acker Bilk His Clarinet And Strings - Some Of My Favourite Things	I have 2 copies of this cassette with identical inlays except for the wording at the bottom of the track list - what I believe is the older (original) version has Distributed by Radio Corporation Pty. Ltd. Manufacturers of Astor Records and the newer version has Manufactured and Distributed by Astor Records Pty. Ltd. also the copyright control for track 12 has been changed from Castle to Intersong. Older tape housing has the blue stripe and newer one has the yellow.

Jasper 24th May 2016		Cassette Album Lesley Gore - The Canvas Can Do Miracles	Not only Lesley Gore misspelled as Leslie Gove on the tape housing but also track 3 on inlay is Haven't Got Time For The and on the tape is Haven't Got Time also track 4 on inlay is Your The One That I Want and on the tape is You The One That I Want - both wrong should be "You're The One That I Want" as per the song from "Grease".
