The record companies took home the rest. Pharrell's share was made up as follows: 4 300 000 - publishing royalties 860 000 - producer royalties. "Overhead costs" for the song have been estimated by Universal Music to be 6 900 000. Not bad for one song. Not surprising that the Gaye family would like some of it ...
