motley101 20th Aug 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Other Artists - World Of Heavy Hits | I'm playing this at the moment after a £2 splurge on it out of pure curiosity. The covers are pretty good, they try to stay true to the original as much as possible but its a decent album if you can pick it up. Would love to find out who else played on this

motley101 13th Jun 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Elvis' Golden Records Vol. 2 | stoutfellow51, the RCA Victor came into effect in 1962, the first Elvis one I know of that has both the large spot and small spot single was Return to Sender. Had the small spot for years and only got an original a few months ago
motley101 12th Jun 2020 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Elvis Is Back! | The main issue was that many record players weren't compatible with a stereo stylus so they wouldn't play plus to the fact that stereo records weren't stocked in shops much as the demand was so low, if you wanted a stereo copy you would usually have to order it in and wait. Some albums sound better in mono instead of stereo and vise-versa, Pet Sounds springs to mind, mono for me on that is better. Piper At the Gates of Dawn is much better in stereo. Only towards to the end of the 60's was it that you had to order mono records, yet singles were mostly pressed in a mono format not a stereo one with a few exceptions.

motley101 5th Jan 2019 | | Vinyl AlbumTom Lehrer - More Of Tom Lehrer | That one looks like a reissue, the labels don't look right for an original, more than likely that's why the difference is with the catalogue numbers circa 1981

motley101 8th Jul 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumEgg - Egg | This does look like being issued around 1975. The original 1969 pressing has orange labels and silver Deram Nova logo on the top and a stickered sleeve with some corrections, my copy has this so no idea what they were trying to hide
Not a bad album overall but Azachel album is much better, Polite Force was ok too, worth exploring
motley101 22nd May 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumElvis Presley - Elvis | This was released in 1959 to correspond with "For Elvis Fans Only", the album didn't sell too well either. Just a release to continue the Elvis Fever during the time he was in the army. It's a good solid album with some good material but the material was issued on various formats prior to this so it only makes it a collection filler. I do have the large silver spot version but did pick up a small silver spot with RCA Victor arched over the top just like the red spot picture
