MR B PAGE 24th Sep 2024		TV Face The Music (1967 - 1984)	I remember this show and I do remember in the 1972 Easter Edition, when Sir William Walton [who celebrated his 70th birthday on the 29/3/1972] appeared on the show, when his signature tune was used for the show. Other guest musicians appeared on the show and amongst them are Tamas Vasary, Roy Henderson [both from 1974] and of course James Galway [from 1975, when back then as a flautist for the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Herbert Von Karajan, before he became famous for performing John Denver`s Annie`s Song and became a hit in 1978 , reaching no.3 in the UK charts]. Now it`s broadcast again on BBC 4. Fantastic Series.

This album originally released on a Friday 14th November 1969 [on the same day as Prince Charles-now King Charles III-celebrated his 21st birthday back then]. I love this album and I was 2 years old back then, and my late brother Nick [and he was 10 back then] and he almost nearly bought the album and as he said to me back then. I do love this album and 1969 is my favourite year in the 1960`s. My favourite tracks on his second studio album are: Letter To Hermione, Janine, An Occasional Dream, Memory Of A Free Festival [and near the end of the song reminds me like Hey Jude by The Beatles] and of course Space Oddity, which is my all-time favourite David Bowie song and also it`s the only song to be produced by Gus Dudgeon [who later to be a producer for Elton John`s hits such as Rocketman,etc.], after George Martin and Tony Visconti turned down the song. I recommend this album as I`m a Bowie fan as well as my late brother Nick.
