Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | 78 RPMJim Dale - Be My Girl / You Shouldn't Do That | I think this might be the missing Jim Dale record I was looking for. If this is the same Jim Dale, he went on to do several of the Carry-On movies after his singing career folded.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | 78 RPMJerry Bruno With The Playmates - Tubby The Tuba / Billy Boy | I think I might've spotted one or two of these at Rices in Newcastle(Australia). Wild design, ay? Definitely psychedelic! Pity the music wouldn't match up.

Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumLee Michaels - 5th | Track B1 - all-time classic R. & B.!
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Rockin' Rebels - Wild Weekend | I recall seeing a British EMI/Stateside 45 of the title cut, the B-side of which had "Wild Weekend Cha-Cha".
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumJohnny And The Hurricanes - Time To Rock | Yep, and you "Ran All The Way Home" to hear it, too, didn't you, RC?(ha-ha) See how I neatly worked the B-side of that song into this post.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Ripper '76 | It should be MacAinsh. Whether Mc or Mac, the next letter after the 'c" should always be an upper-case. Unfortunately Macquarie(as often seen) doesn't follow this rule. It should be MacQuarie.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumJohnny And The Hurricanes - Time To Rock | Looking at the label, the copyright warning around the edge is common to Britain, Australia/NZ and some Euro countries who print the warning in English. The LP is likely Euro origin.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumJohnny And The Hurricanes - Time To Rock | That's not the only error. "The Hucklebuck" composer details are also wrong. It is, in fact, two people, Alfred AND Gibson. Usually credited in this order but sometimes inverted to be Gibson/Alfred on other labels.

Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | TVThe Flintstones (1960 - 1966) | Yaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaachoooooo! Gesundheit!
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | TVThe Champions (1968 - 1969) | You said it yourself, RC, Region 1 and 2! US DVDs are Region 1!
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | TVThe Flintstones (1960 - 1966) | Mel Blanc was a very busy boy, what with voicing Barney Rubble in the first(and possibly second) series of "The Flintstones" combined with his Merrie Melodies and Looney Tunes work, something had to go, so Blanc handed over to veteran voice-over man, Daws Butler, who'd worked with Stan Freberg, among others, and had given voice to other Hanna-Barbera characters(Officer Dibble, in "Top Cat" may have been one of his other characters).
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | TVThe Champions (1968 - 1969) | RC's comment: "Well as I stated my PS3 can play region 1 and 2"
And-a 1, and-a 2, and-a.... er, yeah!
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | TVCrown Court (1972 - 1984) | @Cptbeefheart, you're in England, I'm in Australia and we both have the same problem with our TV stations showing total crap! The only variance is, Australia did away with TV viewer licences back in 1972.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | TVThe Champions (1968 - 1969) | I said what I said because I have a DVD rewrite drive on my computer that "burns" as well as plays DVD's(the smoke alarm keeps triggering because of all the "burning" ha-ha). It is capable of playing DVD's from any region because it ignores the region coding. There's also the fact that 23Skidoo is using an Apple Mac computer while mine is Windows 7. His did not have an inbuilt DVD drive, mine does.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Mind Bender | Geez, look at all these K-Tel and Polygram Top-40 LPs comin' out of the "woodwork", would ya! Masses and masses of 'em! Yep, I'm guilty too. I've put quite a few up here myself as well.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Mind Bender | @Jasper, sorry mate, Discogs told you a "Porky"(Porky Pie = Lie), RC has come up with the right issue date, March, 1975. We'll just get Mod to make the necessary changes, ay? Cheers!
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Ripper | We now know how much you paid for this, Jasper! Oooeee- chirpy-chirpy-cheap-cheap! ha-ha. but your post for this appears before your mention of it on the home page. Strange, that!
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Mind Bender | The year of this album would actually be 1975, owing to the track B7 being recorded in January that year in tribute to those who suffered losses due to Cyclone Tracy on Xmas Eve, 1974.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumVarious Artists - Mind Bender | Thanks, Jasper, saves me or Record Collector the job of putting these up on this site. Same applies to the Disco Motion LP you also put up.

Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumFaron Young - The All-Time Great Hits Of Faron Young | He was certainly an Early Riser! ha-ha.
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumStevie Wonder - Conversation Peace | @Jordansongs, no, but someone could've told him about it. Then again, he's never seen any of his keyboards, has he? But he certainly has a "feel" for them!
Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | CD AlbumFleetwood Mac - Greatest Hits | The version I have is cat.# 7599-25838-2 and the track list is at variance with this version. That renders this as a completely different album, thus it should've had a different title and artwork. The contents of my version are:
1) Rhiannon; 2) Go Your Own Way; 3) Don't Stop; 4) Gypsy; 5) Everywhere; 6) You Make Loving Fun; 7) Big Love; 8) As Long As You Follow; 9) Say You Love Me; 10) Dreams; 11) Little Lies; 12) Oh, Diane; 13) Sara; 14) Tusk; 15) Seven Wonders; 16) Hold Me; 17) No Questions Asked. This, to me, is the rightful compilation for "Greatest Hits" with this artwork. The compilation shown above should really be titled "Best Of Fleetwood Mac" or some other title, and definitely should have different artwork.

Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumFaron Young - The All-Time Great Hits Of Faron Young | Capitol's Star Line... You wouldn't know whether to play the record or try to launch it and sail away!(ha-ha)

Neil Forbes 3rd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumStevie Wonder - Conversation Peace | I wonder where Stevie got the idea for this cover..... Beatles, perhaps?
Neil Forbes 2nd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumCamel - Breathless | This'd be enough to give you the "hump"! (ha-ha).
Neil Forbes 2nd Oct 2015 | | Vinyl AlbumJohnny O'Keefe - The Living Legend Of Johnny O'Keefe | I bought this album originally on cassette(but have since lost the cassette) This is the replacement. I'm going to check the contents of this LP against a Festival 3-CD set I have, using from the LP only the tracks that aren't on the CD set to create a CD of this album.
Neil Forbes 2nd Oct 2015 | | TVThe Champions (1968 - 1969) | Quite frankly, region coding is just another means by which the movie companies can gouge those extra dollars/pounds/euros, etc., from hapless consumers like us! There's no legitimate reason for region-coding, none whatsoever!
Neil Forbes 2nd Oct 2015 | | 78 RPMThe King Brothers - Rockin' Shoes / In The Middle Of An Island | There was another Parlophone 78 that featured Jim Dale(future Carry-On actor, at the time he made it) but it seems to have been deleted.
Neil Forbes 2nd Oct 2015 | | 78 RPMThe King Brothers - Rockin' Shoes / In The Middle Of An Island | @RC, you need to slo-o-o-o-ow do-o-o-o-own or you'll get dizzy(Cue Tommy Roe...) ha-ha!
