OldMod67 26th Oct 2021 | | BookPaul McCartney - The Lyrics: 1956 To The Present | The company I work for had a competition, when buying the standard (but still nice) edition, your name went 'in the hat' to win one of these. Unfortunately, the draw was not open to emp!oyees. Bugger!

OldMod67 17th Oct 2021 | | Music MemorabiliaThe Jam - The Jam Logo And Pic On Union Jack | As with the same image on a target, this might have been from 1979. The first faded and fell off my Harrington around 1980. This was the replacement.

OldMod67 15th Oct 2021 | | Music MemorabiliaSex Pistols - The Great Rock N Roll Swindle Badge | Now rather battered, but still holding together. Purchased in 1979 either at Uptown Records (99 Commercial Road, Bournemouth) or one of the two branches of The Piccadilly Line we had in town.
Yes, I know my auto correct has fudged the title. Correction submitted!

OldMod67 11th Oct 2021 | | BookRay Bradbury - The Cat's Pajamas Stories | The rear cover states twenty- two stories, all but two previously unpublished. The index, however, lists tweny-one, which also includes the Introduction and Epilogue. There is a story included in the book but not listed in the index. This is called Triangle and is in between The Cat's Pajamas and The Mafioso Cement-mixing Machine.

OldMod67 28th Sep 2021 | | Live MusicMonterey International Pop Music Festival @ Monterey County Fairgrounds | Not sure how the wishlist works with gigs, but if it's just a case of 'God, I really wish I could have been there' then I'm in!

My genre entry may look odd, but the book is branded along with the British Library Science Fiction Classics series. So, it's a non fiction reference book about science fiction...

OldMod67 19th Jul 2021 | | 12" SingleThe Beatles - All You Need Is Love | When this was issued we had promo stickers in-store. Copies of the 12" came with the same sticker affixed to a large backing sheet, just slipped inside the cover. We were a chart return shop so whether these were an extra for us to pop in or they were already in with the vinyl I can't recall.
Image of sticker on backing sheet added.
|
OldMod67 19th Jul 2021 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - Revolver | It's probably been mentioned somewhere here before, but I can't spot it. The 80s issue label has the title as 'Love You Too'. My seventies reissue that was given to me in '79 has ''Too' on the label and 'To' on the rear sleeve. This copy that I've owned since late 1979 also lacks the 'stereo' on the front sleeve as per the 'cica 1987' Image.

|
OldMod67 3rd Jul 2021 | | BookEdward Gorey - The Gashlycrumb Tinies | Pages un-numbered. Retailer's ads list 64pp, manual count of pages from title page to endpapers is 60pp.
Bloomsbury issued the previous edition to this in 1998, with different ISBN and no slipcase.
|
OldMod67 3rd Jul 2021 | | BookJoan Aiken - A Small Pinch Of Weather | I've added items at times, after my scanner/laptop died and nowadays add holding images via a Kindle. I have absolutely no issue with items being added without image. Some catters are unable to do so and a fellow member will add, or in my case update one of my later, poorer quality images for better. In my view I'd rather have the book (or whatever) logged on here for collectors, than not. It's also possible whoever added this will post an image later. Either way it's interesting (and helpful) that it's here.
