The Ohio Players (among others) also played on the Johnny Brantley produced Uptown LP by Gloria Barnes. This included great versions of tracks 16 and 21 above. OldMod67 10th May 2024		Live Music The Fall @ Bournemouth Town Hall	My cousin attended this gig, in fact we only spoke about it again yesterday (Bournemouth Runner etc). I so regret not going to this one, not sure why I couldn't go. New Order played here too, which a mate of mine went to. I had N.O. first three singles and recall a last minute scoot down on my semi-trusty Vespa to maybe blag a ticket somehow, saw how my madness had gotten the better of me and scooted off elsewhere!

OldMod67 11th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Southwest F.O.B. - Smell Of Incense	This LP is not a straightforward reissue of the original. It includes all the original content, except Rock 'n' Roll Woman and an instrumental coda from And Another Thing. Added to the tracklisting are some singles cuts and A3, A6, B2 are three previously unreleased tunes. Gaps in writing credits as per labels. On the Hip 45, B5 is listed as D. Seals, J. Colley and B7 listed as J. Durrell
OldMod67 6th Apr 2024		Vinyl Album Spencer Davis Group - The Best Of The Spencer Davis Group Featuring Stevie Winwood	A long ago puzzle for me is the change in cover art between this and the original issue. When I got this in 1986 I noticed the difference to the the illustration on the back of the Best of EP which I'd bought three years earlier. The difference in alignment of titles with Trampoline stuck out at the end just looked weird. What seems to have occurred is the original cover title Please Do Something has been removed and a re-jig taken place. Together Till The End Of Time meanwhile, doesn't appear on either cover. I wondered if I'd missed a comment somewhere on the site and even second guessed myself in case I'd left one already. Last minute track change in '67, covers already printed? Perhaps the artwork change happened before '86. Just wondered.

OldMod67 8th Feb 2024		Book John Wyndham - The Best Of John Wyndham	Re: a hardcover edition. There was a hardcover released in 1975, titled The Man From Beyond and Other Stories which apparently had the same content as this. The publisher, however, was Michael Joseph so I may be in error. I still don't have a copy so can't confirm personally. In fact I still haven't got around to getting the paperback or indeed the two individual volumes.

I got quite excited at the thought of a PH collection. Unfortunately no Peel session or their BBC In Concert set, which is a disappointment. Compare The Chords equivalent, which included radio sessions. Judging by the images it looks a cool package. I will probably have to get it.
