OldMod67 8th Feb 2024		Book John Wyndham - The Best Of John Wyndham	Re: a hardcover edition. There was a hardcover released in 1975, titled The Man From Beyond and Other Stories which apparently had the same content as this. The publisher, however, was Michael Joseph so I may be in error. I still don't have a copy so can't confirm personally. In fact I still haven't got around to getting the paperback or indeed the two individual volumes.

I got quite excited at the thought of a PH collection. Unfortunately no Peel session or their BBC In Concert set, which is a disappointment. Compare The Chords equivalent, which included radio sessions. Judging by the images it looks a cool package. I will probably have to get it.

The line in question is ' ..very pleased when finds out her chap is..' around 1:16 in.

Printed on archival paper with gilded edges. Moire fabric endpapers with a silk ribbon page marker. Smyth sewing and concealed muslin joints. Full leather with hubbed spine.

Dan's partner Emily was in Hangman's Beautiful Daughters, although their (And) Love is Blue 7"/12" had yet to be released. Recently found the gig flyer (added above) which Emily had used to scrawl me a note from Dreamworld Records! The venue was originally Ye Olde White Horse and is currently a club, Brixton Jamm.
