OldMod67 ● 21st Mar 2023		Vinyl Album Various Artists - British Motown Chartbusters	Wow, that'll be cool. I remember seeing a lot of this series in coloured vinyl, but I was either still at school or just leaving and just didn't have the funds. This would have been the early eighties and to this day I still haven't bought them! Volume 3 was as clear and I think I saw it more often than the others. Can't recall seeing the whole series in coloured, but a fair few. I think most were translucent, including a rancid looking brown.

I won't create a new entry, just mark this one as owned, as aside from the pricing, it's identical. Same SBN, so really the listings dated 1971, 1973 and 1979 all could be displayed on one entry, being reprints (as with vinyl LPs)

OldMod67 ● 12th Feb 2023		Book Arthur Ransome - Swallows And Amazons	This edition also contains two maps, one a general map (frontispiece), the other Wild Cat Island (page 14) by Steven Spurrier, originally commissioned by Jonathan Cape to illustrate the book.
OldMod67 ● 11th Feb 2023		Book Craig Brown - One, Two, Three, Four	When the paperback of this came out the following year, it was chosen as our non fiction book of the month. The cover photograph was taken in August 1963 on the roof of The Palace Court Hotel, Westover Road, Bournemouth. It is currently a Premier Inn and I usually walk on past it on the way to work. Additional note: This book won the 2020 Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction. Formerly the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction, as a celebration of twenty-five years of the book prize a panel are currently reading all previous winners, to decide a Winner of Winners. Shortlist of six announced 9/3/23, winner announced 27/4/23.

OldMod67 ● 10th Feb 2023		Book Katherine Bebo - 111 Places In Bournemouth That You Shouldn't Miss	Part of '111 places' series. The same author also compiled one on Poole in 2019, one of the most popular in my local interest section at the shop. Most tend to be 'pictures from old Poole' and the like, but this series has area highlights along with current photographs.
OldMod67 ● 10th Feb 2023		CD Album Electric Light Orchestra - ELO's Greatest Hits	I picked up this old edition at a charity shop a few days back. Unfortunately the booklet has been misprinted, slipping through with pages 4,5,8,9,12,13 blank. Mind you, still a bargain at 49p.

OldMod67 ● 2nd Feb 2023		Book Daily Echo - Victory	Publications of this kind, from a news source, were assigned an ISBN. Others were not and when sold at our store had to be assigned a dummy ISBN (by me) to be processed at till points. For example, Echoes of the Century, entered on this site as a magazine.

OldMod67 ● 31st Jan 2023		Book William Nicholas - The Bobby Kennedy Nobody Knows	JimEss- like a lot of non-UK books, I've not seen this one before. Books published while the subjects were still alive can be fascinating, written at a time before more seedy elements are made public. But sometimes, especially with paperbacks with a gossip angle, there can be hints at things that make more sense later. I'll add this to the Kennedy list, thank you.

The image I've uploaded is a signed copy.

I got the paperback issues back then and being the only copies I had, read them cover to cover (countless times). Over the years the situation has obviously worsened and when I pulled them out to read on Dec 8th/9th P19-24, including the first page of The Fat Growth on Eric Hearble completely fell out!
