Edmondson - The Ship That Sailed The Time Stream	ace books mmpb undated°, unknown ordinality of printing but at least the second printing† cover art by frank kelly freas (unsigned, uncredited; was confirmed by his agent who possessed the signed painting) cover price 75¢ 192pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising ° - entered date year of publication of this printing taken from locus #69, 8/12/1970 † - if the ace books five-digit system were being operated consistently, M-109 would've been deemed to've been a five-digit cat# ending in 0 or in 5, if there were stocks remaining when the system was introduced in 1970, and each subsequent printing would have incremented this number by one; if there was zero stock of the first printing at the inception of the five-digit system, and it was no longer on the catalog/order form (was ''out of print''), the first reprinting would've been allocated a first printing cat#, and subsequent printings incremented this number by one each time. the cat# of the next known printing is 76092; so 76094 could simply've been an error for 76091...‡ (‡ - but there is, however, (a small amount of) evidence suggesting the very first ace five-digit cat#s were allocated *before* the rules of the ace books five-digit cat# system were fully worked out. . .)

ppint. 5th Dec 2023		Book Virginia Kidd - The Eye Of The Heron And Other Stories	ursula le guin's by-line on the front cover (as ursula k. le guin) is set in purpley-mauve type *far* larger than the editorial by-line of virginia kidd's, or the ''and other stories'' - as, indeed, is the title of ursula le guin's novel, now adopted as the greater part of that for the anthology, in a somewhat more somber blue. whilst this may well have made sense as a commercial decision by collins/granada books' editorial, it is undoubtedly liable to have confused a fair number of people, and will doubtless continue to do so.
