pudgym 24th Jun 2020		Cassette Album Various Artists - Rhino · Atlantic · Remasters	This was another cassette discovered in a cassette box at the Les Turner ALS Mammoth Music Mart in a converted parking lot at the Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie, IL. Most items were used. But one could find new and promotional music media available. This being the 1990s, vinyl was present. When bringing my dad [R.I.P.] there, he inspected and chose LP records. I preferred to shop cassettes, because I felt they would not have been subjected to as much damage as vinyl LPs. On the final day (Sunday) of the event, prices were slashed. One could fill up a box of cassettes, which fit forty tapes, for a fixed price. There was at least one year when I walked away from there with *three boxes* of cassettes.

Two tracks (01, 06) got to Chicago POWER indoor soccer game compilation cassettes. Track 01 was placed upon the compilation cassette I gave to my ex-players.

At least one of these tracks got to a Chicago POWER indoor soccer game compilation cassette. There were *three tracks I could not identify. The note now informs me (and perhaps you) why. It took landing on this World-Wide Web page to discern this specific cassette had been mislabeled* as Old Gold 5005.

pudgym 6th Aug 2019		CD Single Ann Peebles - Vintage Gold CD3	In the late 1980s, major labels here in the U.S.A. forayed a new medium to the general public. The four-tune (but it could be three) three-inch CD single. I questioned where to put this, because it could be considered a CDEP. The medium flopped. Recall, the U.S.A. was still purveying full-sized CDs in "the long box". When these flopped, the discs were cut-out and began turning up in closeout and discount stores like Big Lots and Dollar Tree. As someone who was shopping these stores back then, I bought a bunch of them, even though I did not yet have a CD player.

pudgym 26th Jul 2019		CD Album Steely Dan - Citizen	This, along with this Earth, Wind, & Fire Box set, were bought on Tuesday, 20 June 1995 at Camelot Music on Dublin-Granville Rd in Columbus, OH. I was motoring (in the 1987 Chevrolet Sprint) back from Baltimore, MD. and the American Homebrewers' Association's 1995 Homebrew Conference. It being a Tuesday, this Camelot Music store was taking an additional 15% off the price of a CD Box Set. Mind you, at this date, I did not have a CD player. However, my copy had the version of "Ricki Don't Lose That Number" *without* the marimba opening. At the time of purchase, I did not know there was a marimba opening. It was not until signing up for the Steely Dan e-mail listserv (in August 1996) that I learned the specific disc was remastered. I mailed in Disc 2 and received the corrected disc in reply.

Considering I bought most of my LPs by the pound {weight}, and that most of them have never been played, (I never bought a serious turntable. The record player on which some of these were played -- but perhaps thankfully, most of them were K-Tel compilations, was {is[!]} a Webcor 1960 portable turntable *that plays all four speeds); I may have a few LPs with titillating covers. {Oddly enough, the first Andrea True* LP cover is not particularly arousing. The sheet music for "More, More, More" shows more flesh, but does not cross the line into NSFW.}

pudgym 13th Jul 2019		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Original Early Top 40 Hits	By then, record companies had realized that putting side 1 and side 2 on the same physical platter (and side 3 and side 4 on the second disc) meant whoever was playing the album *had to get up (from whatever he [\| she?] was doing)(what? OK - in the throes of an orgasm) and physically turn over the discs twice. Putting side 1 on the same platter as side 4 meant he \| she would only have to do this once*.

(Solution: Johnny should[?] have shot the man in Truckee, which is in California. - Songwriter needs a two-syllable city in California - I just gave you one.)
