"Blues Who's Who" does not list John Lee Hooker recording for the Prize label, but does list him recording for the Staff label, so for now, the Staff gets "Primary" position.

"Uncle" Johnny Williams, per "Blues Whos Who", and not to be confused with the Johnny Williams who was a pseudonym for both Robert "Baby Boy" Warren and John Lee Hooker.

(Given that apparently Gotham considered the three known examples to be "different" from the Folk/Novelty/Country series, the "400" series). The ball is metaphorically in your court at this point.. Pleae check out the two 45's linked below? I suppose it is possible that Gotham started over with the 400 series after originally getting all the way to 14 in the 800 series. There is little to no info on the missing numbers in either series...

Each side has titles pasted over the originals, and the run out shows BT-1072-B BT-1071-B Copies do exist on the red Big Town label as Big Town 1072, with "Fulson Blues" as the A side

rhythmdog ● 31st May 2022		CD Album Various Artists - Chicken Shack Boogie	This series is actual CD's, not CDR's. Likely not actually from Kingston, Jamaica, as asserted on the CD's. However, the concept is Jamaican. These US R&B cuts were what the Sound System men of the mid-50's brought back from their trips to New Orleans and other Southern US locales to play at outdoor dances in Kingston in the mid-50's. As such, they are the very source for "Jamaican R&B" and later Ska, because in the late 50's, as this style of music dried up in the US, the impressarios of Jamaica turned to local talent to replicate the sound no longer available in the US (that the US R&B sound dried up in 1959 with the "Payola Scandal" should make it clear that the major labels were struggling to compete with the smaller R&B labels but were capable of using their clout to sic the law on their competitors - not because they were more "moral" but because they had better lawyers! - and much worse music!!!)

Doesn't seem worthy of a separate listing to me. Your opinion may vary and if so, please comment. (There is currently a separate listing here) The two are now combined

I'm sure that helped get airplay on Huggy Boy's show which was broadcast "live" from Dolphin's Of Hollywood record store in those days. Judging by the time on this version, it is not the same as the version on Combo.

The number of the 1952 release is not known. Mickey Champion is the female lead on both sides.
