Jimmie Rodgers - The Gambler's Blues / T.B. Blues
The actual spelling on the label is in error i.e.The Gambler's Blues (not Those,as was the correct way-the os part has been omitted).

Goldie Hill - I'm Yvonne (Of The Bayou) / Say Big Boy
Between 1949 and 1952,the "DECCA-28000" series were for Switzerland. However, this record is from 1953,so this may not apply. N.B.also,there was usually a "K" prefix used.

Albert Richardson - The Old Sow / The Flies Be On The Turmuts
The actual title of song is "The Vly Be On The Turmut" (i.e., The fly is on the turnip), and is a song from the Wiltshire area, sung in local dialect. It is also a marching song of the Wiltshire Regiment. There are also variations of the song in both Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

"T" Texas Tyler - I'll Hate Myself Tomorrow (For Loving You Tonight) / Goodnight Waltz
This item seems to have been issued with two different "B" sides, i.e., "A Colored Child's Funeral" and also "Goodnight Waltz". Wonder why this was so? Hank Williams had a record out at the same time on MGM, entitled "The Funeral", under the name of Luke The Drifter. Perhaps this was the reason for the change?

Elvis Presley - Rock 'N' Roll
The hyphen in "Presl-ey" was an error in first prints.Printing was stopped and corrected.Hyphenated name on sleeve are therefore mega-rare,though not particularly desirable i.e.no extra cash ever paid for the erroneous printing.

The Carter Family - Amercian Epic: The Best Of The Carter Family
The comments made by Sladesounds are absolutely correct. So many historical recordings such as these are treated in a way that would display the compiler as someone who believed the music was, at best, a secondary type of music where no one would take notice anyway. A far cry from the days of Folkways, sadly.

Jimmie Rodgers - Blue Yodel / Away Out On The Mountain
All of the Zonophone 5000 & 6000 series that were still available at the time of the merge were re-issued on the Regal-Zonophone "T" series, the "T" prefix being followed by the original Zonophone cat.no. N.B.There may have been some Zonophone issues deleted at the time of the merge that did not subsequently become issued as a "T" prefix Regal-Zonophone re-issue.

T-Bone Walker - I'm Still In Love With You / Sail On Boogie
Rhumboogie was the name of the nightclub where T-Bone was resident at this time, and owned their own record label. The records could be purchased at the nightclub, as well as at local stores. There was another version of "I'm Still In Love With You" recorded later in the 40's, that featured Baby Davis as the female duettist. She was married to Eddie Skaggs, a friend of T-Bone.
