| | @thebluesneverdie: Perhaps the sleeve with the hyphen is proof as a first pressing may give it extra value, though you'd have to pay a lot of money for any HMV issue of this! |

| | The hyphen in "Presl-ey" was an error in first prints.Printing was stopped and corrected.Hyphenated name on sleeve are therefore mega-rare,though not particularly desirable i.e.no extra cash ever paid for the erroneous printing. |

| | There's a variation between the two front covers we can see here. The second one has a hyphon between the 'L' and the 'E'.
Which of those would have been the original issue? |

| | There are 5 substitutions to tracks on the UK release, 3 were added from his Sun singles which hadn't had a UK release.
There is a CD reissue that gathers most of the tracks - the USA sequencing and a few singles - but it doesn't include the Sun sides on the UK LP.
I did read somewhere that Elvis expressed that he was unhappy with his first LP (American version), in so much as it was a rush release and some tracks he didn't consider 'right' for the LP [he hadn't had much time in the RCA studios and 5 tracks RCA used were actually old unissued Sun recordings]. |

| | Is that a mistake on the back of this sleeve?
...Aaron Elvis Presley... instead of Elvis Aaron Presley. |

| | At the risk of starting an argument, I think the British track listing is far superior to the 'proper' U.S. one. It certainly lives up to the title! |

| | Yes, the US version of this LP was released in Mar/April '56, & the Shake, Rattle And Roll/Lawdy Miss Clawdy single wasn't released until Sept '56.
Even though that single had already been recorded by the time the US version of this LP was released, it was held back because Col. Parker & his cronies didn't have a cut on the publishing. |

| | It may be Elvis, but as far as I know, it hasn't been available since about 1958. Yes, you can get a CD reissue with exactly the same cover-art, but the track-listing is completely different

| | Uploaded my copy of this LP in all its tattered glory. One of those LPs you just have to have in any condition. |

| | Labels added - a little scruffy, just like my copy of the LP, but better than a blank circle. Like a lot of copies of this, I'm afraid this one has no sleeve. Terrific album though! Labels clearly show the LP's title as "Rock 'N' Roll". |
