TopPopper 20th Oct 2019		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Please Please Me	Mis-pressings like that do occur from time to time. What you have is probably worth something - collectors take increasing interest in mis-pressed records, and the Beatles are the most collactable of the lot.

TopPopper 20th Oct 2019		Vinyl Album Johnny Cash - I Walk The Line	Agreed the date was wrong, but changed to 1973, not 1971. Many of these Hallmark LPs were released some years after recording, so the dates on the packaging are not always good to refer to. A good method to date them is to check the cat numbers against the Top of the Pops releases on the label between 1968 and 1982. These are all listed correctly on the site, so in this case, for example, SHM 849 will have been released alongside the Top of the Pops LPs, SHM 845 and SHM 850. Ergo, 1973.

These recordings were made by an outside firm called Coombe Music and to all intents and purposes, the recording act was left anonymous.

TopPopper 7th Oct 2019		CD Album The Beatles - The Please Please Me Sessions	I know who created this a few weeks ago, and as many fan remixers do, he also created mock-up CD inserts. These aren't scans of a paper booklet, you will notice. They are computer generated for printing out. So far as I know this does not exist physically, and there's no Hey Zube! label. It's a brilliant bit of work, mind you - just not a CD.

The correct sleeve for this album has the Diskos logo, and the UK catalogue number is removed. I've also changed the artist to [no artist listed] - the credit 'Top of the Poppers' does not appear on this product.

TopPopper 1st Jun 2019		CD Album The Beatles - Abbey Road	This series of events is bound to be of great interest - link Mark Lewisohn talks (for the first time, to my knowledge) about what he knows, and we don't - yet - about the Abbey Road album. The show is called Hornsey Road - and only he knows why at the moment. Happy to give this a plug, and for the record, it's nothing to do with me! Just wanting to spread the word for fellow Beatles fans.
