A little confused I retained here the label name Brunswick instead of Decca. Please correct!

De(In) 05131 - The answer is India. - The rim legend reminded me of Indian records on other labels and then it appeared that I have a similar image of Decca(In) 05143, listed as Indian on ebay in 2006. The odd thing here is that the cat.nr 05131 and the rim legend are British, but the label type is based on U.S. Decca. A rather similar situation occurs on Decca(In)28685: same legend; same fonts; no country; same catnr as on an existing release; and even from 1953.

De(In) POPE-7061 - Most likely released late 1956.UK release is F-10788.

De(In) 28685 - This record is almost certainly from India, for following reasons:
1) Upper rim legend in English with this font was used only in India.
2) 'Decca Record Co.' is absent in the golden band above the hole and below "Supreme Record". This occurs in India in the 1950s.
3) Name of country is not mentioned.
4) Record has cat.nr used in the country that supplied the recording or stamper.
As I said before, feature-1 strongly suggests India, but the (early) Indian labels known to me had 'Decca' in the golden band and 'Made in India' at bottom (for ex. F.8568, released 1945). But in 1950 both texts are absent (for ex. F.9968) and this is still the case on F.10324 (1954). In 1955 the POPE.7000 series starts. POPE-7078 (1957) still does not mention India, but F.11277 (1960) does. Decca 28685 was not released in UK and thus did not have an F number, so I assume a stamper was sent from the US and the record retained the US number.
The Italian Decca F-series also has an empty golden band, but says 'Made in Italy' at 6.

Between 1949 and 1952,the "DECCA-28000" series were for Switzerland.However,this record is from 1953,so this may not apply. N.B.also,there was usually a "K" prefix used.

Most of the records that 78-Ron has submitted lately belonged to an Australian collector. I haven't seen a UK Decca before that used the USA catalog no.

De(Non-US) 28685 - This evidently is not a UK issue. Most non-US issues (in many countries) have a prefix. In Belgium & South America the prefix is usually absent, but then the issues are in characteristic series. Non-prefix issues also occur in Switzerland and Austria, but then the label type is quite different, by having a different rim legend (in for ex. French) and always mentioning Decca Record Co. in the golden band above the hole (and below "Supreme Record"). I thought of an incidental Indian release, as known Indian issues have this upper rim legend, but those Indian 78s I have seen are in the F-series and state 'Made in India'. As far as I know/remember, all British issues mention 'Made/Manufactured in England'.
