Roma Beaumont - Primrose / The Wings Of Sleep (1939)
'Album' Cover Reverse Side Added.

It is interesting to me to note that presumably because this album was released before the start of World War Two the Nazi's were not specifically named in 'The Story Of The Play' synopsis.

The 'modern day' synopsis written by 'Wikipedia' however does not hesitate to mention the Nazi connection:

Pamby Dick - To The Woods / Scottish Beauties (1911)
Moderators: I don't think I should have entered 'Schottische' as the 'B' Side composer. Please delete this entry if you agree. [mod:done]

Mr. Ernest Pike - Silver Threads Among The Gold (1907)
Label variation added.

For example, different fonts used for lettering and numbers.

Also, one has the 'Zonophone Cross' and the other does not.

Also, somewhat ironically (because of the song title), one label has gold characters and the other silver.

Alfred Stacey - The Miner's Dream Of Home / Old Jim's Christmas Hymn (1911)
'A' and 'B' side label variations added.

For example, record titles have different spacing / layout.

Also, most interestingly, because of the comments / discussion below about the first up-loaded records being made in Germany, these variants state that they were made in England.

Tommy Handley - Winter Sports (Part 1) / Winter Sports (Part 2) (1928)
The rubber stamp appears to say 'Failure Rejects'. I assume that this was marked at the Dominion Production Factory. (Quality Control).

P. Mackey's Band - Nanette / Nanette (1928)
Moderators: Please advise / amend as necessary:

I am unsure as to what this record actually is.

a) Is it a 'promo only' as for example this link shows:

https://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/8393

(I don't know what 'promo only' is in this context to be honest - and it doesn't actually seem to be a choice when uploading a new 78 record ?).

b) Or could it be a record created for Edison Bell's internal use - for example two versions / takes recorded by them of 'Nanette' to choose the best one one - hence the stamps - 'work' and 'reserve' ?

Also:

Although the artists name looks like a 'C' - 'P Mackey''s Band' has recorded for the company the year before - link here.

https://www.45worlds.com/78rpm/record/0168

So I chose the letter 'P'.

Also:

Is the catalogue number correct ?

Thanks for your advice / amendments (if required).

Interesting point Getalife.

Just uploading another one where the artist is stated as the number '5' instead of 'five'. Great consistency there lol.

Louis And The Hot Five - Don't Forget To Mess Around / I'm Gonna Gitch
Yes, I see.

Still wonder why it doesn't have the usual Okey label ?

Also, the B Side title is 'I'm Gonna Gitch, not 'I'm Gonna Gitcha'

Also, performer is 'Louis And The Hot Five' not 'Louis Armstrong And His Hot Five'.

I am puzzled .................

I mean, why is this record label different to an 'Okey' label one etc ?
