Bamboo 18th Jan 2020		78 RPM Nellie Melba - Aubade (1906)	Ah - very interesting indeed. So, allowing for inflation from the 1910's, compared to Caruso, the cost of a Melba was a mere bagatelle. (About £ 80 to £ 100 in today's money apparently ?). Thanks very much scrough.

Bamboo 5th Jan 2020		78 RPM Mimosa Military Band - Territorial March / The Toy Drum Major	With reference to the following website: http://www.mgthomas.co.uk/Records/LabelPages/Mimosa.htm The Label I have up-loaded is a 'Type 2, Early P Series, 5 and a half inch' record. The Label previously up-loaded is a later 'Type 3 Series' which I assume is also 5 and a half inches. Interesting that two different labels were used for this record.
Bamboo 2nd Jan 2020		78 RPM London Fire Brigade Band - Morning, Noon And Night (Part II) / Picardy (1926)	I would say '88' as the 'A' Side here is 'Part 2' and the 'Part 1' appeared on record number '87' according to this website: http://www.mgthomas.co.uk/Records/LabelPages/Mimosa.htm unless part 2 was released before part one which I think is unlikely. Oooooooooh ! It DOES seem to say '86' ! I will upload a close up photo. How odd ?

Interestingly, these notes (may) seem to date the record release as the 31st March 1930. If so, then this contradicts the dating software, which states release during April 1930. Also, I wonder why the notes seem to read '... warm in peace' instead of '... *war* in peace' for the 'A' side ? I also wonder why the notes don't refer to 'the artist' as a 'Very Reverend' - only as 'Reverend'.

Bamboo 17th Nov 2019		78 RPM H.M. Coldstream Guards - Bugle Calls Of The British Army. No. Ill / Bugle Calls Of The Bristish Army. No. IV (1916)	I find it interesting that HMV record B 593 states that J. Mackenzie-Rogan is a Lieutenant Colonel (Presumably recently promoted) whereas this record states he is a Major. Both records were issued in the same month and year and yet B 593 is at least technically an earlier release number to this one.
