driftinmatt 18th Jul 2018		78 RPM Hobo Jack And His Kentucky Pals - I Feel So Lonesome / You Have Left Me Memories (1954)	Actually, Ray Goins and Jack Adkins himself had contrasting opinions on who the fiddle and bass player on these sides were. While we're at it, has anyone ever seen the pressing of this record numbered as "1001"? If so, could you PLEASE provide label scans? I talked to Dick Grant about this, he says a friend of his owns a copy with that numbering - I have had 3 copies of this record, but never seen one labeled 1001.

I have talked to other scholars who also have no definitive date on this. 1950-1955 seems to be the possible range of years for this record. Can I ask how you reached your conclusion of ca. 1955? Columbia, SC, and 1949, are all coherent with conjectures I have made as to who the fiddle, banjo and electric guitar player might be. I´ll have to research further before I can safely say anything - but all is starting to line up pretty clearly...
