j.monk 27th Mar 2018 | | 78 RPMJack Miller - Louise / I'm Just A Vagabond Lover (1929) | Read somwhere (but can't find the info anymore, though I can't invent this) that Publix released only songs from Paramount Pictures movies, and were sold only in theaters, where the correspondant movies were screened. Only a few hundreds were pressed.
That makes Publix Rds unrelated to Publix Super Markets Ltd.

|
j.monk 23rd Nov 2017 | | 78 RPMDuke Ellington And His Famous Orchestra - Harlem Speaks / Chicago (1933) | Please enlighten me:
The Discography Project gives 8/15/33 as recording date for both sides and GB6039 & GB6041 respectively as matrix numbers.
Does the "GB" prefix point out an English recording session? If yes, doesn't it make that very Decca release the original release?
Thanks a lot.
