Filling some kind of gap here. As Otis René had obviously founded his label to get around the recording ban and recorded and released his first two records under the radar of the musicians' union, I could not believe that he would have waited until the end of the ban to release his March 1943 recordings of the King Cole Trio.

And indeed, the label design and the side numbers of this rare issue here resemble his previous records from 1942 and suggest a release date soon after the recording session in 1943, anyway several months before the modified issue LC 105 / BC 104 came out in 1944.

As there are no matrix numbers beside the side numbers on the labels, this version here was obviously not in the stores anymore when "I'm Lost" finally charted in October 1944 and Billboard took the (incorrect) matrix number 2986 from the new issue for the catalog number. For this issue here I took the side numbers as the basis for the A-/B-side decision, thus preferring the more vivid "Pitchin' Up A Boogie" to the later hit side.
