I don't think fixbutte said anything about an OKeh release in 1938. All the OKeh releases are from between July 1940 - July 1945. Here are slightly better images (but listed under an erroneous date).

I visited both sites where you made the hyperlinks. Concerning the OKeh version, where one was issued in '38 and another issued in '40, were the OKeh labels the same color and design? If so, how can anyone tell them apart for a proper dating ? Interesting. There were no photos given of the OKeh's but photos were there for the other labels .

The story might be even more confusing, see there, and it is here too:

¤ What you have added was the recording date (22 Mar 1937). The record was actually released some months later, in July 1937 on the Melotone label (cat# 7-07-52).

¤ When Melotone was phased out, the record was reissued on the Vocalion label in October 1938 (cat# 04376).

¤ After the Vocalion label was purchased by Columbia, it was merged into Columbia's revived OKeh imprint in July 1940. This record was then reissued on OKeh (same cat# 04376).

¤ In July 1945, Columbia also discontinued the OKeh label and this record was reissued on Columbia twice, with cat# 37007 in July 1946 and cat# 20033 in 1948.

See there for record labels of most issues of the record.

So we can say that this OKeh version of the record was released in 1940 (July or later).

There is confusion when trying to get information about OKeh / Vocalion / CBS catalog numbers during this period of merger between these companies.
This record's label is worn out, so photos are not too legible.
