W.B.lbl 7th Jun 2021		Could be a combination. Or, those labels were hanging around for two years, and when an order came to press 'em again, they were dragged out and used. But also, looks like the nature of the label copy precluded using the smaller labels that were becoming standard by this time.



fantasista 7th Jun 2021		Okay, is it reasonable to say then that they were probably using up old labels until 1931-32, or that they kept using an older style for the -F series for a little longer?



W.B.lbl 7th Jun 2021		I'd say 1931 at the earliest, that deep groove whose inner diameter was 2.6875" and outer diameter 2.8125" tops.



fantasista 6th Jun 2021		@xiphophilos, take a look at this page: there is one green label like this that has the same ring (70mm). I was able to find this page with some info about Columbia pressing rings, but I can't speak to its accuracy. If, as the table on that page says, all Columbias with 70mm pressing rings date to 1932 and later, that would mean that they were using these labels with 3 lines of patent text under the logo without the 2nd patent (1702564) in the rim text until at least 1932, which contradicts the labelography here that I've been using.
