Shouldn't this have been credited to Ike Turner's Kings of Rythm?

joehilllouis, your small and damaged label images have been replaced now and your comment has been moved from the notes (where it doesn't belong) to here. I hope you don't mind.

What was the First Rock 'n ' Roll Record?

It is March 1951 it raining and storming in the Mississippi delta. A bunch of teenagers including bandleader Ike Turner ride in their car on Highway 61. Instruments and amplifiers stuck on the roof, destination the studio of Sam Phillips in Memphis Tennessee. The amplifier of guitarist Willie Kizart is blown of the roof. They are late, take a hotel room and write a song about a car they’ve seen.
It’s about the 1950 model Hydra Matic Drive V-8 Oldsmobile 88.
In the studio the fallen amplifier has a tear in its speaker cone resulting in a terrible noise (distortion). Every other producer in 1951 would have changed the amplifier, but not Sam Philips, he hears something different. Some newspapers are stuffed in; resulting in an acceptable fuzzy guitar sound. Then again Sam does something different, instead of low; he intentionally puts the guitar high in the mix.
The very first Rock-'n-roll record is born. The recording is then leased to the Chess Brothers from Chicago. A big big Rhythm and blues hit in 1951.
Sam thinks, I could do this distribution business myself, and on March 27 1952 starts his own Sun Records label.
