 This definitely is Tex Beneke without Glenn Miller; the Billboard review to which I have now linked above says "the boys do well by the missing master."

 Could this be the Glenn Miller Orchestra without Glenn Miller? He'd been dead for just over a year at this stage and his band-mates wouldn't have wanted an early end to their careers. Previous releases for 1945 appear to be mostly reissues
