Added handbill for The Modernistic Ballroom at State Fair Park in West Allis, Wi. (Milwaukee metro) in September 1931. Dances were held here from May through September. Duke's appearance would be one of the last before the promoter switched to the heated Playland for the winter months.

Vic 22743 - next label type (with location on 1 line, sans serif) added. Also exists with ring label.

Also, {Images #1583928 & 1583929} had to be pressed before September 1936, as after that point the print below was modified considerably (even though the RCA Manufacturing Co., Inc., moniker remained) to have "Camden, N.J., U.S.A." put in condensed sans serif type on one line.

The earliest known pressings with same had to be February 1935; some labels of November 1934 releases had this entity, though they may've been re-presses.

June 1930. Between "Victor Talking Machine Co." (last seen c. Apr - May 1930) and that, it was:
"Victor Talking Machine Division, Radio-Victor Corporation Of America, Camden, N.J."
(Sep - Oct 1929, Apr - May 1930)

Ok, thanks for the quick reply! A follow-up question: As far as I know, "Victor Talking Machine Division" was printed after the RCA took over in the spring of 1929 (but I may be wrong)... when did they start printing "RCA Victor Company"?

While RCA Manufacturing Co., Inc., was established in December 1934. So definitely, {Images #2856895 & 2856896} should come in order before {Images #1583928 & 1583929}. Besides the absence of 'VE' and 'Orthophonic Recording' as part of the label design on the "RCA Manufacturing" variant.

Speaking of previous comments: Added label images from - probably - a previous press. These indicate "RCA-Victor Company" instead of "RCA-Victor Manufacturing Co" and "VE" are located at the top and bottom of the label. All in all, these labels are from at least the end of 1930 and a few years on ... I think.

According to the DAHR is release Date: 8/14/1931

The "VE" seems also to be missing at six o'clock

The illustrated labels differ from those in my database in that they have the letters P-1 immediately under the "R" in the Victor logo, while mine do not. My guess is that the illustrated labels are part of an album, while mine are "singles".
