And except for a break from 24999 to 27000 in 1950, this series lasted well into the end of the Decca label in January 1973 (last release: "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray, 33057).

Please note the "etc." in the uploaded review. As said by Frank Daniels' in his Decca Labelography, at first the 23000 and 18000 series were mainly limited to singles that were part of Decca albums, so the review rather referred to a two-record album "from The King Steps Out", containing the four sides of 23000 and 23001.

Thanks very much, xiphophilos, this answers a question that had been bothering me for several years, see my earlier comments on Decca 23002 and 23006.

Great recent contributions to the US Decca catalog by the way, namely by KeithS.
