slholzer 3rd Sep 2016		The album itself might have been released in 1940. If you look at the album discs, of which the above are examples, they differ from single release discs issued with the same number in two respects. First, of course, is that the album discs identify the album by number and the track by its respective side number in the album. The single discs, naturally, do not. Secondly, the artist credit on the album discs reads Bing Crosby with Dick McIntyre's Harmony Hawaiians. The single discs, at least the one I have so far, reads Bing Crosby with Dick McIntyre And His Harmony Hawaiians. I leave it to the executive judgment of the powers that be whether all the records should bear the same release date or some effort should be made to list them separately, if in fact they conclude that they were released at separate dates.



xiphophilos 18th Aug 2016		The Wikipedia article on Decca album 140 claims it was released in 1940. The recordings were made between 1936 and Jun. 13, 1939, however, and nearby catalog numbers indicate a 1939 release date.
