"Body And Soul", Coleman Hawkins legendary recording of Oct 11, 1939, had been first issued on Bluebird B-10523 in December 1939. When it was reissued on this record here in June 1944, it became a hit, reaching #4 in Billboard's "Harlem" Hit Parade, the predecessor of the R&B chart.
