Fantastic results! I guess the effort was worthwhile. I have made them the main images now.

It's amazing what a damp tissue and glorious sunshine can do! I wish we had the glorious sunshine more often.

I wouldn't dare trying to get that sticker off of a similar aged Victor!

I thought it curious that you had a copy with a sticker peeled off from exactly where mine has a sticker!

I'll try and get better photos. It depends a bit on light and reflection, but the record itself has seen some use over the years and the actual black colour is somewhere between yours and mine if I hold it up to the screen.

Some of your label images are a bit pale, like these here where the black color looks dark grey and the golden logo and letters seem yellowy grey. I have tried to produce a more contrasted and clean A-side label (the third image here), but I'm not so happy with it because now the letters and logo are nearly white.

Are you able to improve your images? Then I may have a try at a "clean" version of the A-side again.

 Interesting. Here are the labels.

Here's an example where the side with the higher matrix number was in fact the "A" side. "West End Blues" is not only one of the most popular Louis Armstrong recordings today, even one of the most popular jazz recordings in general, but it was also announced as the top side in the Talking Machine World magazine at the time of release. It was, however, recorded one day after "Fireworks", and the recording order was decisive for the matrix numerical order in the USA, rather in contrast to UK or Europe made records as far as I know.
