xiphophilos 7th Jun 2017		I think guykan's labels are also originally purple (like all labels in the 5000 series); they have been lightened up a bit too much.

fixbutte 4th Feb 2015		lorangrecords is apparently right here. According to 78discography.com the A-side was recorded in Dec 1920, the B-side in Apr 1921. Other Brunswick records with early 5000 numbers were also recorded around 1920/21, so the originally submitted release year of 1924 can't be true. I've corrected it. It seems that the 5000 series (with blue labels) started around the same time as the 2000 series (with brown labels) but lasted only up to 5199 in 1923.
