xiphophilos 27th Jul 2017		Moved this to Norway since Beka matrix numbers 78000-78129 were Norwegian recordings, per the Beka discography scrough already cited: http://discography.phonomuseum.at/bekamx.htm



scrough ● 1st Dec 2016		Thanks - I'll get the audio up soon, but both tracks are by multiple instruments, rather than only a mandolin, or mandolin with simple accompaniment. The same source also suggests that the Dutch version might be intended for Sweden/Norway too, but at a later date.



fixbutte 1st Dec 2016		Questionable if the Dutch version - played by a Strykorkest (or strijkorkest, Dutch for string orchestra) - is really the same as this one with a Mandolinen-Solo (German for mandolin solo). Anyway, despite the German description on the label, I agree that your link suggests a Norwegian issue, apparently from 1919.



scrough ● 1st Dec 2016		I've found the same recordings, but with different numbers and labels, in the Beka Netherlands section, so linked the two releases. A quick browse around here might suggest a Norwegian release?



scrough ● 30th Nov 2016		Thanks Red - It came with 4 British Beka Grands (~1910 to 1914) so I thought it might be earlier than the 1920s Bekas listed here. One of those British Bekas also doesn't have a serial number, but different numbers for each side.



vocalion red 30th Nov 2016		It looks like your record is from Europe. Germany is a good place to start. England also, and some parts of Eastern Europe such a Czechoslovakia from what I see. Your label resembles a German one I see from the 1910's period. That's all I got.
