As already said, this record is obviously not from 1939. In addition, Moon Mullican's original version of "I'll Sail My Ship Alone" was not released before Dec. 1949, see King 830, and Hank Williams' original "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" even came out in March 1950, see MGM 10645

In fact, this record comes from the second run of the Varsity label, as a sublabel of Eli Oberstein's Wright Record Corp., which only started in mid-1948 (its first run as a sublabel to Oberstein's U.S. Record Corp. ended in September 1940). The 1939 date from the Internet Archive, interpolated from Steven C. Barr's Almost Complete 78 rpm Record Dating Guide, p. 99, is useless anyway because it doesn't consider the post-war resurrection of the label.

Although Praguefrank's very scrappy Jack Hunt discography doesn't list the recording of "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" and this record, it was most probably released in mid-1950 when the original versions reached the country charts.

I put 1939 as that is on the archive.org site. There's no way actually-I had a brain fart. Hank Williams wasn't even known in '39, much less having songs covered!
