The main label color of late war and post-ww2 Telefunken releases (Telefunken A 10817) is actually more like a grayish-white rather than gold.

Looking through the records that are on here, I can't make heads or tails of it. There are a couple of other gold-blue labels here, though both are E-prefixes (here and here).

edit: and a post-WWII variation here

I've been trying to figure out why this Telefunken record exists in the standard blue-gold and in the rarer gold-blue label, but so far in vain. Both variants seem to be pre-WW2.

I've seen other gold-blue and even gold-red labels, e.g.,
gold-blue Telefunken A 2186 Peter Kreuder, Amargura (image)
gold-red Telefunken A 2369 Duke Ellington, Caravan (image)

The record above also exists in a mid-war pressing on a white-blue label (image).

I see, thanks for the clarification.

When the matrix numbers are that far apart (19386 vs. 19328), you can usually assume that the much newer recording is the A side, whereas the older recording was added as a flip side.

Added alternate labels - but shouldn't the A and B sides be inverted here, based on the matrix numbers?

The B Side is more usually called "Des Försters Töchterlein" (The Forester's Little Daughter), credited to Friedrich Kücken (source).
