 That’s interesting information to know. I’ve felt since the first time I found his records 25 years ago in East Tennessee among some Skillet Lickers 78’s that his stuff probably sold well in rural areas before country music was recorded in the 1920’s.

 Thanks, historyofcountrymusic, I've moved your labels up a bit. They are August 1918 represses. Interesting to see how often and how quickly this record needed to be repressed. It must have been immensely popular.
