De Album 138 - The album exists with 3 Decca main label types. Added are: sides 1 & 2 (De 483) of the first type in 2 variants, as the first pressing had an error in the personnel (Renald Jones), which was corrected on the next printing (Bobby Stark); and sides 3 & 4 (De 1220) of the 1st pressing; and side 5 (De 1840-A) of the 2nd label type (see Patent notice below logo). The images of De 1220 that were already present have the 3rd label type. Side 11 (De 3320-A) is on discogs. Label types #2 & #3 of this album are rare; all images I have seen are in this entry.
Except that there were no "sunburst" labels with "Album No. 138" inscription and album side designation on them. The album came out in 1940, the sunburst design disappeared at the end of 1937.
For your consideration: I believe the image shown is from a Decca album (# 138) issued in 1940. The title of the album was "Chick Webb Memorial Album". The labels show a plain "Decca". The discs in the album are: 483, 1220, 1840, 3318, 3319, & 3320.
First pressings had a blue "sunburst" label that was released in 1934.
