This privately recorded film clip of the reconstituted group in exile from ca. 1938 ("Schlafe mein Prinzchen, schlaf ein" / "Creole Love Call") shows Harry Frommerman start the Creole Love Call routine - he was the original group's greatest vocal imitator and comic talent:

Lovely! 'Comedian' meant something slightly different at that time, implying lighthearted songs
There are plenty of examples of this group if you follow the YT links, including this nice example of them performing in a 1936 film:

I hope we'll see many more records by the Comedy Harmonists, Comedian Harmonists and Das Meistersextett in these pages

Amazing group. They fell apart in the end because three of the original members were Jewish, making it particularly difficult to perform and record in Nazi Germany. They did make a lot of wonderful records though.

If you've never heard them before I'd strongly recommend a listen to this German vocal group with their own European take on close harmony vocals. I'm particularly smitten by their versions of instrumental numbers like side B here. Apologies if preaching to anyone already converted. the name may come in various versions, and there's a modern reincarnation performing nowadays.
