| | Maybe it depends on how long the negotiation about the individual manufacturing rights for different countries for different releases last, to produce the record for example in Germany, in Africa, in Holland, England, France or other countries. |

| | Hmm, maybe the first release-dates could be variable in various countries.
I think USA was the first or much earliest release of such a record, and most of the other countries, incl. Germany are follow ups. Some of them could release a version very close to the source country, like the USA in this case. |

| | I'm just surprised to see that this record supposedly appeared in South Africa earlier than in Germany. That assumes, of course, that the release date for the South African variant here in the database is correct. |

| | Maybe, a repress can be possible, but there was a very short time between the first and a possible second issue.
Maybe Don´t knock the rock was not as succsessful as the other earlier songs by Bill Haley in Germany. |

A-Side: Made in Germany 8 2 8 8 2 A A 7 100 702

Stamped matrix-numbers on all German Brunswick-records. |

| | Second question: could the matrix manufacturing date (A 7) be that of a repress? |

| | Thanks for the quick response! Could you please let us know the complete runouts for both sides as well? |

| | Hi Xiphophilus. Hm, not true, because the matrix-manufacturing date is A 7, that stands for A - January and 7 - 1957. In Germany that record was definitely pressed and released in early 1957 and NOT in 1956. |

xiphophilos 5th Apr 2023
| | Based on the next-lowest cat. nr. 82 875, which is from May 1956, this is probably not a 1957 release. |
