KeithS SUBS ● 11th Nov 2018
| | This record brings back teenage memories.
The first you knew that a disc was available was an ad in Disc or Melody Maker and for some reason "Western Movies" by The Olympics sounded like something that hard earned pocket money might be used on and I wanted to Hear it as a sort of proof .
Radio Luxembourg was the best programme although it faded terribly and I waited to hear this Olympics disc.
Suddenly ..this must be it.."Come on pretty baby lets move it and groove it.." good record...moves along....then fades to silence.
Never a fan of UK discs I was so disappointed to learn it wasnt the Olympics but Cliff Richard...Bugger
I was a music snob and never realised it |

Apparently uploader says this is from 78, so presumably the YT Music source that is (auto-generated) info in the YT show more section is a fairy story and Google cannot tell a drop from a CD'd remaster ? |

| | Nope, that A side Vid gorn, (and the others on YT appear as either, 1994 remaster, 2000ish remaster or a 2012 remaster, we need the needle drop, is Sid still around ?) |

| | Schoolboy crush was indeed the A Side and had a few limited plays until Jack Good..an important DJ at the time, played it once..thought it was OK then decided to flip it over..and the rest they say is history |

| | Shouldn't Schoolboy Crush be the A side (as it was intented to be even though Move It! was obviously the hit)? |

| | My guess is that the 5011 stamped on the sleeve and disk as well as the writing on the sleeve was a part of someone's personal cataloging/ library system rather than any official EMI imprint.
Sonically this 78 blows away the 45 in every way! |

| | This particular disc has the number '5011' stamped on both labels and on the original sleeve. Could this have been done at the pressing plant?
One of the reasons that 'Harry Webb' chose the name Cliff Richard was because inevitably, he'd mistakenly be called Cliff "Richards"; he would then correct their error, therefore his name would be mentioned twice! Since this was his first disc, the original owner of this record still hadn't caught on and he/she has written the misidentification Cliff "Richards" on the top left-hand corner of the sleeve! Using a nib pen too; not many biros around in those days. |
